WALKING

There are several places in and around Hythe where you can walk, jog, cycle.

Beside The Sea

The spacious promenade stretches as far as the eye can see with plenty of room for walkers, joggers and cyclists. The village of Sandgate is about 3 miles away and Folkestone is a distance of 5 miles.

In The Countryside

The beautiful, tree-lined waters of the Royal Military Canal pass through the centre of Hythe and offer lovely country walks both east and west. A cycle path runs along the north bank of the canal from Seabrook to West Hythe - a distance of approximately 6 miles.

There are numerous footpaths and bridleways in Hythe and the surrounding area and a number of circular walks and cycle routes that explore the town and its historic past. An interactive map with full details can be found at www.hythe-kent.com/tourism/walks01.htm
